This week's blog response will address the questions concerning responsible design and ethical consumption. Based on the reading of the ADA document and the reading of the chapter in Design for Society on Responsible design, pick and describe a design which you think exemplifies at least three principles described in the readings. If you need some specific examples to begin with, have a look throughout chapter 3, and specifically, the checklist on page 132.
Ah... starting to get caught up with things. Now, to catch up on grading and such. Need to turn my attention now to my book and back to my China projects.
STS 327 - Ecocity planning for State College area You challenge here is to provide a rudimentary guide to ecocity planning for State College. State College area is a very good case study for thinking about eco-town development.
STS 327 - Society and Natural Resources: Ecocity Planning: Six Domains for Consideration in Developing State College Region towards an Ecocity Recipe: i) state the current development pressure or problem, ii) describe problem as projected into the future, iii) offer ecocity based solution, and iv) possible incentives for adoption. Still learning how to work drupal. Seems a little rough around the edges, but that is more because of themes. Still, I think the site will look good once I finish with it.
Was quite happy that we were able to get the NSF EESE grant submitted today. Feeling good about the product and process at least. We'll see, fingers crossed.
EESE Grant DUE....
This is my initial bleary eyed attempt to get a Drupal site up and running. I began on Feb 26th 2010. So far, lots of hurdles, but the progress bodes well. Now, if I can just figure out this iCal syncing situation.
